The above photos are from a family album, and the
inscription inside the front cover reads:
"To Mother with Love, John. 26th October
1907."
Mother was my great grandmother,
Margaret Strathern, wife of Rev. John Wallace, Minister of
Dalrymple Parish Church from 1868 to 1902. (Her son John was also a
Minister of the Church.)
The Dalrymple Church and Manse are dated
1865. The people in the doorway of the Manse are, Rev. John Wallace
Sr. and his daughters, Lizzie, Margaret Helen (my grandmother), Annie and
Charlotte.
I would like to know about
the Wallace family and would be happy to correspond with them. I am looking
to find current members of the family still in Scotland
and .co.uk
