At this point, the records start to get thin, back to 1787. 1787 was the beginning of the fight over naming the parish minister, parishoners or Lord Glasgow. Lord Glasgow named his man, William Boyd, but most parishoners left to form a UP Church in Fenwick, electing James Dewar to be their minister. Up to about 1805, many records seem to be missing, then after that they were (mostly) entered into the parish register, UP or Established.
